Practice Overview

If you're like most of us, life can get busy, complicated, even overwhelming at times, and we push aside those big questions that trouble us - who am I? how do I really want to live my life? what is important to me? what’s next? These questions don't go away and often resurface - whether we want them to or not - during times of loss, death, and transition, when everything familiar has been stripped away, and we are left feeling frustrated, uncertain, and alone. It is exactly during these times that therapy can help.

In our work together, I can help you explore these questions and ultimately:

  • shift old patterns of thinking and behaving

  • navigate new challenges in creative, flexible ways

  • learn from mistakes instead of dwelling in regret and self-criticism

  • cultivate a genuine relationship with yourself and others

  • work through transitions and uncertainty

  • cope with death, loss, and trauma

  • treat yourself with compassion and gentleness

Professional Background

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with two master’s degrees: a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas and a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. I am trained in both EMDR and Internal Family Systems. I have an innate curiosity about others, myself, and this life and take great joy in facilitating change, creating safe spaces, communicating effectively, being present, and listening. There is something uniquely wonderful about sitting down and talking with someone who will meet you with warmth, acceptance, and curiosity. To see if I might be that person for you, call 512-231-0164 to schedule an appointment.
